A familiar face was awarded Gatorade's National Volleyball Player of the Year this year, continuing to add to a trophy cabinet that is in no doubt in need of an extensive addition. A First-Team All-American selection, and PrepVolleyball's Class of 2024 National Player of the Year, featured at No. 3 on the most recent Top 150 Player ranking for the Class of 2024, Ayden Ames earned the exclusive title following an outstanding senior campaign for Prosper High School (Prosper, TX).
Photographed here with past award winners, fellow Texan Averi Carlson, who won the award in 2022 (left), and 2023 winner Harper Murray (right), Ames will join the twice defending NCAA National Champion University of Texas at Austin Longhorns this spring ahead of their second consecutive title defense this fall.
