This is the got to pack and head to the airport abbreviated edition. Like 18s and 17s before them, these rankings are based almost exclusively on qualifier performance.
RANKAPALOOZA!
1. Laguna Dos Tres (California)
Pre-season rank: 2
Setter Alexandra Palmer’s hands are a thing of beauty.
2. KiVA Lee Under the Mat (Kentucky)
Pre-season rank: 1
Whitney Craven told me at Big South that she had never been on PrepVolleyball.com. I told her that I’d never write her name in one of my stories again. I lied.
3. MAVA Nagila (Kentucky)
Pre-season rank: 3
It was good to see Kelsey Anderson back on the court at Big South. Injuries curtailed her high school season, but she is back in a big way.
4. Vision of Loveliness (California)
Pre-season rank: 16
I like writing about Kristina Graven but I’m not sure when you’ll see her picture on Prep, which subscribes to the Second Commandment against making Graven images…
5. Texas Advantage Rent-A-Car (Texas)
Pre-season rank: 7
Lauren Martin, the elder, is a setter for Empire headed to Alabama on scholarship. Lauren Martin, the younger, no relation, is a hard-hitting RS who also sets. She will be the next Lauren Martin to earn a D-I ride.
6. Sports Performance Anxiety (Illinois)
Pre-season rank: 6
There’s not much better to watch than a Julie Chin up!
7. Cincy Classics The Dog On Em (Ohio)
Pre-season rank: 40

Surprising Wildkats getting it done because of strong practice ethic, like that displayed by working girl Tessa McGill.

Pre-season rank: 39
Some players wear many different hats. Haley Jacob wears a coat of many different colors!
